Alex Haahr Gouliaev, Chief Executive Officer.
Alex Haahr Gouliaev is a co-founder of Nuevolution A/S. He served as Vice President, Chemistry and Drug Discovery from 2001 until he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2005. He was previously Director of Medicinal Chemistry, member of the Management group, and a member of the Board of Directors at NeuroSearch A/S.
Alex Haahr Gouliaev has 15 years experience in medicinal chemistry, in vitro pharmacology, and process optimization and up-scaling of clinical candidates.
Alex Haahr Gouliaev received his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Aarhus University. He has authored or co-authored more than 40 publications and patent applications in the fields of synthetic/medicinal chemistry and CNS pharmacology.

Mads Nørregaard-Madsen, Director of Lead Discovery, Director of IT/ Informatics.
Mads Nørregaard-Madsen is a co-founder of Nuevolution A/S. He was previously a molecular and structural biologist at Novozymes, where he was responsible for the market-oriented analysis, design and development of proteases and related protease inhibitors. Mads has been instrumental in establishing Nuevolution’s team of in silico experts and is responsible for all IT/Iformatics related activities including codon designs, molecular modeling, data handling and software development. He directs the company’s lead discovery efforts for internal and partnered projects
Mads Nørregaard-Madsen holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Structural Biology from Odense University, and he has authored or co-authored more than 20 publications and patent applications in the field of molecular biology, molecular modeling and protein engineering. |

Thomas Franch, Chief Technology Officer, Director of Biology
Thomas Franch has strong experience in the fields of gene regulation, nucleic acid structural and biological stability, as well as anti-sense technology. Thomas has been the key scientist for the development and patent protection of the Chemetics® technology and has been project manager on several important projects. He directs the company’s technological efforts and activities within Biology.
Thomas Franch holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Odense University and has authored or co-authored more than 25 publications and patent applications. Thomas co-founded RNA Tech Aps for the commercialisation of anti-sense technology.

Lene Teuber, Ph.D., Director of Chemistry, Head of HR
Lene Teuber has more than 16 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry. Lene was previously employed as Head of Department, Medicinal Chemistry II, NeuroSearch A/S. She has extensive experience in Drug Discovery and early Drug Development comprising e.g. classical medicinal chemistry, the hit-to-lead process, lead optimisation and chemical up-scaling. Lene has managed both early-stage and pre-development projects.
Lene received her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Copenhagen and has authored or co-authored more than 50 publications and patent applications. |

Martin Pedersen, Financial Controller
Martin Pedersen has for 20 years been in the admin/finance/accounting field.
He has several years experience with biotech companies, previously employed by Dansk Udviklingsfinansiering; an early-stage venture fund.
Since 1999 he has via a private held company been servicing various companies including several biotech start-up’s such as GX Biosystems A/S, Auda Pharmaceuticals ApS, Phytera Inc., Upfront Chromatography A/S, Torsana Diabetes Diagnostics A/S and Evolva SA.
